Getting Started

My switchover To Linux

Its two years since I have been using Linux,so I though of dedicating a blogpage to my sweetheart.

Few reasons why I switched over to linux

1.It's Free.

You don't need to buy it.Its freely available for download at various sites,or its given free with various issues of computer mags,or u may request a copy. Its legal to copy and distribute too.

2.When the system has installed, you don't need to install much stuff.

Back to my Windows days, after installing my system I had to install a dozen other softwares in order to use it..both system drivers like sound drivers, graphics drivers,LAN driver and application softwares like Office package,Adobe Pdf reader,DVD media players to name a few.It was like hell of a job.In Linux system drivers are all pre-installed and also most commonly used application softwares too(except mp3 player because of patent issues).

3.Its applications are freely available anytime.

Even If I need a particular software I am just click away to install it.
No demo version and Keys required.

4.No virus,spyware,adware.

Till today Linux is safe in terms of virus. So no need to run your weekly virus scan and deal with daily virus problems.

5.Its cool

U can customize your Linux in your own way and Its cool.
